‘Share the Warmth’ Clothing Drive
The eighth annual ‘Share the Warmth’ Clothing Drive will be held at the Mettawee Community School, 5788 Route 153, West Pawlet, on Saturday and Sunday, October 10 and 11, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Please bring your own shopping bags. Imagine walking into a gymnasium packed full of over 25,000 pieces of clothing. Now, imagine that these are all free for the taking, for anyone! You don’t have to imagine this scenario because at Share the Warmth, this is what happens!
Because of the monumental task of organizing this many items, donators are asked to sort clothes by season and label the bags. All seasons are welcome, but there is a huge demand for fall and winter clothing. Donations may be new or used, and should be clean and stain-free, sizes babies through adult. Donations will be taken at the school on Thursday, October 8, from 2:30 to 4 p.m., and Friday, October 9, any time before 4 p.m. If you wish to donate, but are unable to get there, or have any questions, call Brooke Burnham at 802- 342-6377.
