Shires ReSale Store Expands to Benefit Habitat for Humanity
The Shires ReSale Store in Manchester, Vt. is expanding its hours, its floor space and its merchandise.
The Shires ReSale Store sells new and gently used items that have been donated to benefit the work of Bennington Area Habitat for Humanity. It is located on Route 11/30 going east out of Manchester, a mile after crossing the railroad tracks. Expanded hours at the store will begin Friday, May 16, when it will be open on Fridays 11 a.m to 4 p.m., Saturdays 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sundays 1 to 4 p.m. The sales floor will be expanding to
a downstairs area, and will
feature building, plumbing, heating and electrical departments, appliances, woodstoves, fireplace accessories, fans and more. The upstairs will showcase bargains in household furniture, accessories, lighting and wall hangings.
These spaces will enable a dispersed display of the ever-growing inventory; there is something for everyone.
On the first expanded weekend there will be drastic reductions to some of the big items – hutches, china cabinets, entertainment centers and computer desks – that have occupied our limited sales space since we opened our doors for the first time.
Besides donors and buyers the Store is in need of volunteers to help with organizing and staffing during mid-week and weekends. Come join a fun team.
