Skis & Cheese with the Silver Griffins
The Silver Griffins at Bromley will be hosting their first social event, Skis and Cheese, on Friday, December 14, at 3:30 p.m., upstairs in the Bromley Lodge’s Stratton View alcove. The group is an independent social club formed in 1998 to provide seniors 60 and over with the opportunity to ski (and, yes, snowboard) and socialize. They meet, work and play at the Bromley Mountain Ski Resort in Peru. A $15 membership fee entitles the Griffins to free preferred parking privileges (mid-week and non-holiday), discounts in the cafeteria, ski shop, rentals and in the repair/service area, as well as a distinctive name badge, monthly after-ski parties, and other social functions. The group congregates at the Silver Griffins Den, an area in the southeast corner of the main floor of the Bromley Lodge for booting up, lunching and socializing. Check out the website for a membership application and more information, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call head Griffin George Sherman at
802-375-2747. Come join a group for ‘skiers 60+ with a sunny attitude’ as they celebrate their 20th anniversary of camaraderie.
