Southwestern Vermont Health Care is currently showing a small sampling of its Art and Archive Collection in the hospital’s Corridor Art Gallery. The art collection consists of some 1400 pieces of art – paintings, photographs and sculptures – that have been given to SVHC over its 96 years by grateful patients,  families and friends, in gratitude for care received, in memory of friends and loved ones, or with the simple desire to enhance the healthcare environment for  the patients in the care of the Southwestern Vermont Heath Care facilities.

The artwork will be on display until Wednesday, April 9. The Corridor Art Gallery is located in the first floor connector corridor. The works chosen for the exhibit are by local artists, in honor and gratitude to the talented and caring artists of our community.

This extensive collection of artwork, along with historical documents and memorabilia is overseen by the SVHC Art and Archive Committee. For another interesting exhibit, visit the SVHC History Wall along the second floor connecting
corridor.
