Stand Together Against Trump

A peaceful and positive protest against the presidential candidacy of Donald Trump will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 31, at the Factory Point Town Green in Manchester Center. We will gather for an aerial photograph and video of local residents who oppose his message of fear, racism and hatred. Wear a yellow T-shirt or other item of clothing. The images will be shared with Stand Together Against Trump, a political action committee founded this summer by a group of physicians in Cleveland, Ohio. STAT organized a successful series of peaceful, non-violent events outside the national GOP convention, where Trump was officially nominated as the Republican presidential candidate.

The Manchester Center event will be short, upbeat and focused solely on creating a visual image of hope – Vermont residents literally ‘standing together’ against Trump. With this simple photograph of peaceful solidarity, we hope to send a message that can easily be replicated in other communities across the state and country. Bring your friends and family and spread the word to other towns across the United States. For more information, check out our Facebook page, Stand Together Against Trump.
