Stephentown Historical Society Hosts Talk on Early Murders
Pat Flint, Stephentown, N.Y., town historian, is speaking on the town’s 18th and 19th century on Monday, October 6, at 7:30 p.m. The earliest recorded murder in town took place in 1791. Flint’s presentation, which is free and open to the public, will include a skit recounting the trial of the man accused of murdering the first New York State law enforcement officer to be killed in the line of duty.
