Grace Christian School student Adelle Woodcock was awarded third place for her artwork in Vermont’s ‘Be Money Wise’ Poster Contest, at a special ceremony held as part of Financial Literacy Month where Vermont State Treasurer, Beth Pearce, presented awards to each winning student.

When asked to explain her artwork, Adelle said, “I wanted to show a practical application for making good choices with money. So I drew a girl choosing between candy and a tooth brush. The tooth brush was on sale and the candy wasn’t. It’s an example of a very real life choice kids have to make.”

Adelle was chosen out of 387 students who submitted artwork to the contest, designed to promote financial literacy.
