Green Mountain RSVP, Green Mountain Express and the Bennington, Vt. Price Chopper will once again partner to hold Stuff the Bus. The event will take place at the beginning of the Martin Luther King Weekend to honor his vision of neighbors banding together to fight hunger, homelessness and poverty. On Friday and Saturday, January 17 and 18, volunteers will be welcoming shoppers and urging them to purchase a little extra to Stuff the Bus. The non-perishable items will then be distributed each evening to local food pantries. The most donated foods are pasta, sauce, canned tuna, peanut butter, cereal, soup, canned vegetables, baby food and diapers, personal care items and pet food. We look forward to greeting generous shoppers on MLK weekend to help our neighbors in need.
