Sugarman to Discuss Newest Novel
Local author Robert Sugarman will appear at the Bennington Free Library at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 21, to discuss his book, ‘Antibes 1950: a Novel.’ A book signing reception will follow the program, books will be available to purchase. Sugarman’s novel recalls post World War II France when the country was rebuilding and becoming a hub for the arts, attracting expatriate Americans.
Sugarman is the author of ‘Circus for Everyone: Circus Learning Around the World’ and ‘Performing Shakespeare: a Way to Learn.’ His latest play, ‘Kaufman’s Barber Shop,’ was produced by Shakespeare and Company. He stage managed off-Broadway and has taught at several colleges, most recently Southern Vermont College. He and his wife, Sally, host the weekly radio show, ‘Theatre Talk’ on WBTN.
