Superheroes Help Stuff A Bus
Captain Credit Union and his honorary superheroes, the Northwest Elementary students, helped deal a heavy blow to hunger last Thursday as they swooped into the Price Chopper parking lot armed with two school buses full of non-perishable food items to be donated to this year’s Stuff-A-Bus Food Drive. In all, 7,680 food items were collected and made their way down to the food drive with Captain Credit Union leading the charge. In addition, a check totaling $1,540 was presented to Captain Balcomb of the Salvation Army and Nancy Gordon, WJJR, as part of Heritage Family Credit Union’s matching contribution efforts.
The Credit Union would like to thank all those that donated food items or money toward this year’s Stuff-A-Bus drive. Their efforts helped keep our area food shelves stocked over the holiday season and beyond for those less fortunate.
