Take a Bite Out of Homelessness
Join Bennington Caolition for the Homeless on Saturday, October 19, at 6, at the Carriage Barn at Park-McCullough House in North Bennington, Vt., for a fun-filled evening of music, food and friendship.
Guests will enjoy a casual buffet style dinner featuring barbecued pulled pork, salads, veggies, and lots of desserts.
A cash bar, hosted by Brian Johansen, owner of JC’s Tavern in Bennington, will be serving beer, wine and a full complement of adult beverages, as well as sodas and bottled water.
Live music will be performed by local favorites the Buzzsaw Boys, whose melodic tunes are great for dancing and just listening.
The evening will feature both silent and live auctions. The silent auction is filled with many beautiful works of art, jewelry, gift items and gift certificates to local businesses. An original painting by acclaimed artist Stella Erich is available to the highest bidder.
The live auction is a first of its kind, and will offer guests the
opportunity to support a local small business and the Coalition at the same time.
The Coalition needs help paying some bills. Bidders will be offered the chance to help the Coalition pay specific bills with a donation or a payment directly to the local vendor. These local small businesses have help BCH by proving much needed services and waiting patiently to be paid. They deserve to be paid and BCH want to pay them.
Admission is $20 per person. Tickets are available at the door or by calling BCH at 802-753-7205.
Thank you to the evening’s major sponsor, People’s United Bank, along with supporting sponsors Southern Vermont Medical Center, State Representative Brian Campion and Abatem Exterminating.
