Take a StoryWalk with your family up the George Aiken Wildflower Trail at the Bennington Museum. The trail is open during daylight hours.  All June, pages from the children’s book, ‘Miss Rumphius’ by Barbara Cooney, are posted along the trail. This book was chosen by Linda Donigan, Bennington Free Library’s children’s librarian and Deana Mallory, director of public programs at the Bennington Museum, and was first used as part of their collaborative Museum ABC’s program. Now all families can enjoy the story and look for spring wildflowers in bloom – bluebells, trillium, columbine, violets, and more, grace the trail. ‘Miss Rumphius’ has a clear message for families – everyone must make the world more beautiful! The Museum’s wildflower trail is the perfect place to appreciate this life lesson.

While in town visit the Bennington Free Library at 101 Silver Street, Bennington, Vt. to explore more wonderful children’s books on this and other topics.  Call 802-442-9051 or visit benningtonfreelibrary.org.
