Tamarack Hollow Programs
Tamarack Hollow is hosting some interesting programs this month. On Wednesday, September 17, at 6 p.m., learn how to identify key species that live in high elevation, boreal spruce-fir forests of Massachusetts, then see some of them on a short walk at a free Boreal Forest Ecology presentation at Mount Greylock Summit; donations will be accepted for the Tamarack Hollow Nature and Cultural Center.
Sunday, September 21, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., see ghost town cellar holes and artifacts from the 1700s and 1800s on the Housatonic Heritage Hike at Notchview, and hear tales on the trail about characters who once roamed these hills. The Tamarack Hollow Nature and Cultural Center is a 32-acre high elevation boreal forest conservation area in Windsor, Mass.
