‘The Measure of All Things’

Inspired by our collective fascination with The Guinness Book of World Records, filmmaker Sam Green traveled across the world to gather footage of record-holding (and nearly record-holding) people and places. ‘The Measure of All Things ‘ will screen at MASS MoCA on Saturday, July 12, at 8:30 p.m.

Academy-Award nominated filmmaker Green scoured the globe to compile a series of compelling portraits of unusual natural occurrences. Among them is the world’s tallest man, the world’s oldest living thing and the man struck by lightning the most times, along with more miraculous illustrations of spontaneous anomalies that are altogether beautiful. Green provides live narration detailing his chronicle. ‘The Measure of All Things’ plays on the largest movie screen in New England, in cinema Courtyard C at the center of MASS MoCA’s historic campus. Tickets are available at the box office on Marshall Street in North Adams, by phone at 413-662-2111 and at massmoca.org.
