The Pember in Granville to Host a Peeps Diorama Contest

What would you call a roomful of art dioramas made of dressed-up marshmallows and cardboard? The Pember Library and Museum is calling it their first annual Pember Peeps Contest – and it’s happening on Friday, May 3, in Granville, N.Y. With a dozen creations already submitted by members of the community, and with more coming in, artists will be competing for the Peeps Best Award and a $25 gift certificate from Edwards Market. “Peeps art is very popular nationwide, and it’s really amazing how ordinary marshmallow figures get sculpted, dressed, back-dropped and creatively arranged to express a theme,” said Ardyce Bresett, Library director. The free event takes place during the Pember’s First Friday event from 7 to 9 p.m.
