Jesse and River Olsson present a few of the items available at Weston’s Treasures on the Green.
Treasures on the Green, the annual town-wide tag sale conducted by the Weston Women’s Club, is back after a one year hiatus. This fundraiser to support area non-profits will be held on Saturday, July 25, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on the Village Green, Route 100, Weston. This is your chance to find great values in home and garden furnishings, cookware and tableware, kitchen gadgets and much more. For the best selection, come early. Once again, furniture has been added to the list of the many items available for purchase at bargain prices. There will be something for everyone. As is customary, the Wilder Memorial Library Book Sale will be taking place in an adjacent tent, adding reading matter and recorded music to the list of bargains being offered. Tasty food and beverages will be available through the day, ranging from breakfast snacks and coffee in the morning to burgers, hot dogs and meatball sandwiches at lunchtime, with soft drinks, desserts and more. All proceeds from Treasures on the Green are donated to local non-profits. Beneficiaries have included Just Neighbors, the Weston Community Association, the Flood Brook Collaborative and Neighborhood Connections.
