Trek for Hope to Benefit Granville’s Haynes House
Get the running shoes out and prepare for the third annual Trek for Hope on Sunday, October 13, in Granville, N.Y. This unique run/walk, amidst the fabulous fall foliage of the New York and Vermont countryside, rambles over a rail trail, country roadways and a covered footbridge, and is one of fall’s don’t-miss events!
Participants of all ages may enter to run or walk. The Trek for Hope kicks off from Village Park on Quaker Street with a 10K run at 9 a.m. The 1-Mile Kids Run follows at 9:15 a.m., and the 5K Run/Walk starts at 10:30 a.m. Awards will be given for fastest overall male and female runners and by age group categories.
Entry fees are $15 for preregistration or $20 on race day. Participants ages 18 and younger may register for $10, either in advance or the day of the event. T-shirts will be given to the first 100 registrants. Registration on the day of the event begins at 8 a.m.
Proceeds from the Trek for Hope benefit the Haynes House of Hope, a nonprofit organization caring for the terminally ill and their families from around the New York/Vermont region.
