Two Events to Observe 150 Years at the Park McCullough
Join the Park McCullough House in North Bennington on Saturday, August 29, from 6 to 9 p.m., to celebrate their 150th anniversary! Enjoy libations, hors d’oeuvres and dancing to live music by Spare Parts, who will be performing music from the late 1800s through the early 1960s , the time period when members of the Park, Hall and McCullough families lived in the ‘Big House.’ There will also be a silent auction, antique cars, a brief keynote speech by Peter Herdich from the Antiquities Coalition, and a special performance by the Living Room Theater group. Guests are welcome to dress up in fashion from the 1860s to 2015. Tickets are $50 per person and can be purchased at the door or in advance by calling 802 442-5441.
On Sunday, August 30, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., we will host a community day with games and activities for all ages, house tours and carriage rides, contra dancing, a raffle of the original quilt by Mary Kohler and much more! Bring your own picnic to enjoy on our spacious grounds; beer and soft drinks will be available for purchase. Admission is $10 per family or $5 per person. This event is co-sponsored by the Northshaft Lions Club. For more information, call 802 442-5441.
