MCL Family Bubble Dance
Calling all human beans to a phizz-whizzing costume bubble dance party at the Manchester Community Library’s Family Super Saturday at 10:30 a.m. on October 15. Come as your favorite Roald Dahl character or wear your Halloween costume to celebrate Dahl’s 100th birthday with some delumptious cake, squiffling music, and swashboggling crafts. This free program, open to the public, is generously sponsored by The Bank of Bennington. Manchester Community Library is located at 138 Cemetery Avenue at the corner of Main Street/Route 7A, Manchester Center.
Star Wars Read Day in Pawlet
Join the Pawlet Public Library in celebrating Star Wars Read Day on Saturday, October 15, from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be lots of fun activities for all ages including a costume competition, a Jedi training obstacle course, a Wookie impression competition, raffle, fun food and crafts. Once again, Christine Mix brings ‘Glow in the Dark Art’ to the Wilder Memorial Library in Weston on Saturday, October 15, from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon. Children and families can get into the Halloween spirit by painting their own glow-in-the-dark projects on fabric or paper, making Halloween decorations, flying ghosts or costumes. Children under the age of seven must be accompanied by an adult. The program is free, but pre-registration is required, as space is limited. Register at email@example.com or 802-824-4307.
