Vermont Energy Roundtables
NeighborWorks of Western Vermont will host a regional energy roundtable on Wednesday, November 12, from 6 to 7:30 p.m., at the Vermont Department of Health at 324 Main Street, Bennington. The roundtable will offer tools, resources and support to homeowners, energy committees and interested community members. Presenters include representatives from Green
Mountain Power, NeighborWorks of Western Vermont, New England Grassroots Environment Fund, Vermont Climate Energy Action Network and Vermont Energy Education Program.
Topics include grant opportunities, programs for schools, cold-climate heat pumps, residential solar options, on-bill repayment for residential efficiency projects, how to get construction management for energy efficiency projects, advice for starting an energy committee and how to spur community action, with an opportunity for discussion with statewide experts. Light refreshments will be served.
A second roundtable scheduled for the Rutland area is Wednesday, November 19, from 6 to 7:30 p.m., at NeighborWorks of Western Vermont, 110 Marble Street, West Rutland. Pre-registration is not required, but is encouraged. For information or to RSVP, call 802-438-2303 extension 229.
