On September 28, from 10 to 4, the Southern Vermont Natural History Museum, Richards Group, Mount Snow Events and the Hogback Preservation Commission are pleased to again offer a fun, free day for the whole family to get outside and celebrate Vermont’s wildlife, wild places and outdoor heritage. Over 25 groups representing every outdoor pursuit from hunting and fishing, to turtle rescue and bird watching, will be on-hand with kid’s activities, informative presentations, live animals, live music and guided hikes. Featured this year will be a visit from Tom Riccardi of Massachusetts Bird Rescue and Rehabilitation, and the Museum’s own bald eagle will make her program debut! Watch the museum’s website, vermontmuseum.org and facebook page, facebook.com/vermontmuseum to keep up to date on new developments. Contact the museum to support this free community event with a tax-deductible donation at 802-464 0048 or museum@sover.net.
