While millions of Americans are cramming themselves into big box stores on the days following Thanksgiving, others will be enjoying a very different shopping experience at the 35th annual Weston Christmas Bazaar, a Vermont village’s answer to Black Friday. On Friday and Saturday, November 27 and 28, in the Weston Playhouse. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free. Some 50 vendors will be occupying booths throughout the building. Almost all are local or regional artisans offering gifts, decorations and wreaths; artisanal foods including fancy baked goods, Vermont maple syrup, vinegars and oils; clothing items, artwork and jewelry. There will be a raffle with prizes to be won; morning coffee and muffins, a tasty lunch and afternoon cookies provided by the Weston Marketplace. Book a chair massage for revival (and maybe an acting lesson) from Weston Theatre favorite David Bonanno. You’ll find the Playhouse on the west side of Route 100 in the center of Weston Village.
