Winhall Boy Aims to Spread Joy to Young Patients
Eleven year old Gabe Treat of Winhall recently told his parents that he wanted to gather donations of cuddly stuffed animals to give to young patients a the Childrens Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock (CHaD) in Lebanon, N.H. To that end, he has set up donation boxes at The Mountain School at Winhall, where he is a student, as well as the Winhall Public Library, and at Green Mountain Veterinary Hospital in Manchester Center. His endeavor is in partnership with Hearts in Action, a new program at CHaD which provides support to those in the community who are fundraising on behalf of the hospital. Gabe will be collecting new stuffed animals to be given to kids admitted to CHaD, and will be hand-delivering them on Thursday, December 21. He asks you to please consider donating to put a smile on the face of a child when they truly need it the most!
