Women’s Training Group to Meet
You see all the posts about your friends completing a 5k (3.1 miles). You wonder if you can do the same; now is the time! Training for More (TFM), a southern Vermont women’s outdoor recreation group, is hosting an informational meeting and sign-up night for their upcoming Manchester-based beginner 5k training group at 6 p.m. on Sunday, September 18, at the Dana L. Thompson Memorial Park/Manchester Rec Center, in the pavilion near the tennis courts. Walking and/or running women of all ages, shapes, sizes and paces are invited to attend. No experience is necessary and there is no expectation to maintain a certain pace. With this ten-week program, you’ll go from ‘Couch to 5k’ and amaze yourself as you cross that finish line. TFM is a welcoming, supportive group of non-judgmental women always looking for new members. As with all exercise programs, consult with your health care provider prior to beginning.
