Workshop: Start Your Own Business
Taking an idea and turning it into a viable business possibility is where most great ideas get lost. The Vermont Small Business Development Center, as part of its many business services, is offering a workshop for those thinking about starting their own business. What does it take to plan, start and run a successful small business – where you can realize the challenges and satisfaction of working for yourself? Take the next step and learn how to get going in the right direction. Experienced business advisors will walk you through the basics and much more in this four-hour workshop designed as a step-by-step guide for the first-time business owner. Payment of $99 includes a start-up workbook, handouts and access to 20 online courses in money, marketing and management. By the end of the workshop, participants will be well-informed about the resources available to them and the next steps involved in launching a successful business. Sign up online at vtsbdc.org or email Vicki Blanchard at [email protected] Workshops will be held throughout the state at different locations. In Bennington, it’s Wednesday, November 12, from 12 to 4 p.m., with Brian DeClue.
