First Baptist Church of Cambridge will end 171 years of ministry on June 8.

Sunday, June 8, marks the end of the 171-year ministry of the First Baptist Church in Cambridge, N.Y. However, with the dedication of its people and the preaching of the gospel through the years, the legacy of the church will continue. There will be a special worship service on the 8th, which will include special music, praise and reminiscing. Other congregations will be joining in the service. The community is most cordially invited to attend. There will also be a reception in the afternoon, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., with food and friendship in celebration of the past and in thanksgiving for those who have been faithful to the church through the years. It is hoped that community churches and friends, old and new will take this opportunity to honor the ministry of First Baptist. The church is located at 29 West Main Street, between Cambridge Village Market and Glens Falls National Bank and is handicap accessible. Please Note that the monthly free Community Dinners will continue until further notice.
