The Equinox Valley Nursery and Dutton’s Farm Stand will be donating ten percent of their walk-in wreath sales during the weekend of November 28 and 29 to The Dorset Equine Rescue, a nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing neglected, abused and/or slaughter-bound horses of all breeds and sizes. When they arrive at DER, they receive all needed medical care and lots of loving attention. Once healthy, they are evaluated and available for adoption to prescreened homes. In the two years since the rescue began, a total of 27 horses from various situations have been rescued; 16 have found wonderful homes. To learn more, visit thedorsetequinerescue.org.
