Youth Symphony to Perform
On Sunday, March 16, at 4 p.m., Sage City Symphony will present its annual Youth Concert at the Greenwall Auditorium, Bennington College, premiering works by six students from area colleges. The Symphony has performed one concert each season, alternating yearly between college and high school composers, who provide program notes and biographical information, just as they would in the professional world. Students participating this year include Seamus Carey, Liam Dailey, Christian Mailloux, Zack Weishaus of Bennington College, Sato Matsui of Williams College, and Tom Monkell of the College of Saint Rose. Admission is free. The program benefits the orchestra and the students by bringing in a broader audience.
