219th Annual Bondville Fair

Take part in one of Vermont’s oldest fair! Exhibit entries are now being accepted for the Bondville Fair. Garden produce, cooking specialties, artistic endeavors and original works will be on display in the Ailene Capen Floral Hall. Three new categories to be judged and awarded this year are Pickles, Bread and Handmade Clothing. Entries will be accepted Thursday, August 27 from 4 to 7 p.m., and Friday, August 28, from 9 to 10 a.m., with judging will taking place from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The Hall will be open for viewing from 12 noon on Friday until closing, and opens at 10 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday, August 29 and 30.  Entries must be picked up by 3 p.m. on Sunday. The 2015 Exhibit Categories are: Vegetables, Fruits and Eggs; Plants and Cut Flowers; Hay; Preserves and Pickles; Baked Goods and Bread; Needlecraft and Clothing; and Arts and Crafts (must have been created within two years and not previously been awarded a cash prize at Bondville Fair.)  Two items per category for adults is allowed with unlimited entries for vegetables, fruit and children’s items in all categories.

Ribbons and cash prizes are awarded for first ($4), second ($3) and third ($2) place in each category with rosettes awarded for outstanding displays. Children under 16 are judged separately in the Vegetable and Arts and Crafts categories.
