The Mettawee Community School is happy to announce that the all-school holiday production of ‘The  Muppets at Mettawee’  will be presented on  Thursday, December 19, beginning with a  dress rehearsal at  12:30  for the evening performance at  7 p.m. Both are free and all are welcome.  Students will have the opportunity to watch the whole play during the dress rehearsal. According to MCS Music teacher Lisa Hoyt, “The Muppets at Mettawee is a tribute to the Muppet Show of the 1970s.” Come see Kermit, Miss Piggy, Fozzie and friends as they welcome their special guest “Elton John” and “Harry Belafonte”, as well as Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem Band. And what would an evening of Muppets be without the duo of Statler and Waldorf? This delightful holiday production is being directed by Mettawee’s Music teacher Lisa Hoyt and MCS parent Susan Knapp. Principal DeBonis said, “Our All-School Play will be fantastic for everyone to see! Some of the scenes, costumes, and backgrounds have been created by the Mettawee students.”  She added, “It is amazing that all students preschool through sixth grade will be singing in a song, and at the end there will be a whole school song! I hope that all of you can come watch it!” Mettawee Community School is located on Route 153 in West Pawlet.
