A New Season of Chamber Music with Music from Salem

The opening concert of Music from Salem (MFS) 2019 Chamber Music Series will be performed at 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 7, at Hubbard Hall. Acclaimed violinists Katie Lansdale and Markus Placci will join MFS directors Lila Brown, violist, and Judith Gordon, pianist, in a program featuring Ludwig van Beethoven’s brilliant String Quintet in C Major alongside Caroline Shaw’s whimsical take on Beethoven, ‘Blueprint,’ and Gabriel Fauré’s voluptuous piano quartet in G minor. Also performing will be cellist Byron Hogan, formerly of the Julius Quartet, and MFS emerging artist Gioia Gedicks, violin. The suggested ticket price is $25, but Music from Salem welcomes all with its ‘pay what you can’ policy. Advance tickets may be purchased at hubbardhall.org. For more information call 518-232-2347 or visit musicfromsalem.org. Hubbard Hall is located at 25 East Main Street in Cambridge, N.Y.
