An Old-Fashioned Agricultural Fair Takes Place This Weekend
The 40th annual Adams Agricultural Fair is dedicated to keeping the goals and values of a true old time fair, providing education and entertainment for the entire family. It takes place Friday through Sunday, August 1 to 3, and offers a variety of fun events, including Friday’s Pups in the Air, an hour-long, choreographed performance where dogs demonstrate their ability and athleticism with Frisbees. There’s also a knife throwing show and dance music by Bits and Pieces. Saturday, there’s a horse pull, animal judging, a gas truck pull, a diesel pull, a birds of prey demonstration, with Tommy T with Black Velvet performing in the evening. Sunday features the demolition derby; slots are still open for cars. The popular ox pull will go on all day, and Pups in the Air returns.
The Fair offers fun for everyone, with amusement rides, a wood carver, demonstrations, antique tractors and more. Admission only $5 Friday and Saturday and $6 on Sunday. For a full schedule visit adams-agricultural-fair.org. For more information, call 413-743-1982.
