Bart Center’s No Limits Bike Ride
It is anticipated that the sixth annual No Limits Bike Ride planned for Saturday, September 13, will be bigger and better than ever. This exhilarating event features plenty of different distance rides: 100 miles for the competitive cyclist; an easy nine mile family ride and a few others in between for courageous cycling enthusiasts. All rides start and finish at Manchester’s Dana Thompson Recreational Park. The Ride raises funds and awareness for the work being done by the Bart Center, an organization which provides people with disabilities and their families the opportunity to enjoy outdoor sports, with a special focus on snow sports.
Participants range from highly competitive cyclists to recreational riders, adaptive cyclists and even the occasional unicyclist. Participants ride scenic roads, refuel at well-stocked aid stations, and barbeque afterward.
This year’s event is being planned by the BART Center with a group of students from the Southern Vermont College Business Division in efforts to further develop the No Limits Ride. SVC is an important institution in our community and the students have served as a sounding board, giving us advice from their younger point of view. The Center welcomes the energy and perspective that they bring. Community members of all ages are encouraged to be part of this wonderful experience and help out however possible. Whether you are a volunteer or joining the rest of the riders, this year’s No Limits Bike Ride will be unforgettable! For information, visit bartcenter.com or call 802-824-5522.
