Beautiful Violin Music
Sundays on the Hill Concert Series welcomes violinist Linda Beers to the historic and acoustically perfect Church on the Hill in Weston on Sunday, August 11, at 4.
Experience the wonder of violin music, as performed by Hartford, Connecticut-based violinist, Linda Beers, whose violin music is known for its beautiful, sweet and soulful sound. She is a classically trained professional violinist and teacher, with the ability to play diverse styles including classical, jazz, folk, Italian opera-—and her own arrangements of pop, broadway show, and movie music.
Linda received her BA from Wellesley College, Master of Music from the New England Conservatory of Music and Performance Diploma from the Longy School of Music. While at the Longy School of Music in Cambridge, Mass., Linda studied with the late Roman Totenberg.
She has also performed in master classes with Joseph Silverstein, Gunther Schuller and Clayton Haslop. Linda has been a member
of the Hartford Symphony Orchestra since 1997. She has played solo recitals and has appeared as a guest artist throughout New England, as well as having performed in Europe, Canada and Hawaii, and has toured with artists such as Andrea Bocelli and Linda Ronstadt. Linda has performed recitals for the Island Concert Series on Fishers Island, N.Y., the Museum of Our National Heritage in Lexington, Mass., and for the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston.
