Bennington Food Swap
Do you enjoy cooking, baking and canning? Appreciate local foods? Want to add diversity to your pantry without spending a lot at the grocery store? If so, check out the Walloomsac Food and Craft Swap Friday, June 20, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Second Congregational Church, 115 Hillside Street, Bennington. Food swapping is a growing trend among foodies and localvores. Participants bring home-produced items valued around $5 and swap with others. A jar of homemade jam might swap for a loaf of artisan bread or a dozen farm-fresh eggs. The possibilities are endless. Our swaps begin with a potluck dinner and then the bargaining begins.
