Berkshire Botanical Garden Harvest Festival

Berkshire Botanical Garden Harvest Festival

The Berkshire Botanical Garden’s annual Harvest Festival, now in its 80th year, takes place Saturday and Sunday, October 11 and 12, in Stockbridge, Mass. Celebrates the joys of autumn with family activities, live entertainment, crafting, educational workshops, a farmers market, a silent auction – and numerous tag sales selling everything from books, furniture, clothing, jewelry, to plants and bulbs.  Leap and soar at the hay jump, get lost in the hay maze, watch a sword fight, ride a horse or meet a donkey. Test your hula-hooping skills, have your face painted or take a turn in the bounce house, all the while keeping your eyes peeled for the treasures of the ever-popular Pocket Lady. Back this year by popular demand is our better-than-ever Haunted House, with the new Hall of Pumpkins. And come by our new Botanical Garden section to make your own cider.

Over a hundred New England-based artisans, among them spinners, weavers, leather workers, potters, jewelers and more, will offer their works and locally produced foods, from maple syrup to jams, jellies and chocolates, for sale. The Harvest Festival offers a variety of fantastic food vendors or visit our farmers’ market for the best of the harvest. Live music will be on the main stage all weekend long with fiddle players and musicians roaming the grounds. Drop-in workshops and activities will be available to everyone.

Kids can meet our chickens and bunnies and view our enclosed beehive in Farm in the Garden Camp; Western Massachusetts Master Gardeners will be there to answer your gardening questions; and the Berkshire Botanical Herb Associates bring their dried herbs, dressings and recipes, all made from herbs grown right here on campus. Berkshire Botanical Garden’s Harvest Festival runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. Admission is $5 for adults and free for children under 12. Parking is free. Proceeds from the festival, one of the longest running of its kind, support educational programming at the Garden. A complete list of activities, vendors and entertainment and advance tickets are available at berkshirebotanical.org.
