There’s going to be some serious rockin’ going on at the Dorset Quarry on Saturday, July 12, with the Don’t Leave Band. Bring your friends and enjoy an evening celebrating Dorset’s beloved swimming hole and historic marble quarry. The music starts at 5:30 p.m. and ends at 7:30. The Dorset Quarry is located on the east side of Route 30 between Manchester and Dorset. Parking is available. The rain location is the barn at the Marble House on the Dorset West Road. Free admission and free refreshments.
Earlier in the day the Dorset Historical Society is hosting Chip Stokes and his Dixieland Band, and a silhouette artist at its annual Ice Cream Social, 1 to 3 p.m. on the lawn of Bley House across from the Dorset Green. Visit dorsetvt.com for more information.
