United Church of Dorset, E. Rupert

Join us for Holy Week, beginning on Maundy Thursday, April 17, at 5 p.m. for a foot-washing service, to be followed at 5:30 with an Agape Potluck Supper and at 7 for a Tenebrae Service. At 12 noon on Good Friday, April 18, there will be a Seven Last Words of the Cross Service. Old Parish Church

Reverend Jon Bliss of Weston’s Old Parish Church will lead a Sunrise Service of prayer and song at 6:30 a.m. on Easter Sunday, April 20, at the Walker Bridge, located just off the west side of Route 100, about one mile north of the village. There will also be a regular service at the Church, located on Main Street, at 10:30 a.m. Old Parish Church is an ecumenical, family-oriented congregation of parishioners from Weston, Vt. and surrounding towns,  guests are welcome.


Ecumenical Easter Sunrise Service

The annual Manchester area community ecumenical Easter Sunrise Service will be held at 6:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 20, on the porch of the Dormy Grill, Union Street, Manchester, Vt. overlooking the golf course. For information, call contact Reverend Jordan Dickinson at


Federated Church of East Arlington

Federated Church of East Arlington on Ice Pond Road extends a warm welcome to all. Maundy Thursday, April 17 will be observed with a Soup and Bread Supper and foot washing in Bailey Hall at 6 p.m. Worship follows at 7 with Holy Communion and Tenebrae. The Sanctuary is open  9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for prayer and reflection on Good Friday, April 18. An Easter egg hunt for children 1 to 7 is held at 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 19; bring a basket. On Easter Sunday, April 20, there will be a 6 a.m. Sunrise Service at Mack Corporate, at the intersection of Route 313 and Warm Brook Road, and afterward a continental breakfast in Bailey Hall. Peru Congregational Church

The Peru Congregational Church invites you to services on Easter morning. Sunrise Service will take place at 7 a.m. at the cemetery adjacent to the Peru Town Center, Peru, Vt. Peter Henry will be our homilist. A pot luck breakfast will follow. Our family service will be held at the church at 9:30 a.m. The celebration will include our Spirit Dancers, an Easter Egg Hunt for the kids and a sermon by Pastor Margaret entitled, ‘The Comeback.’ All are welcome. Our Lady of Ephesus House of Prayer in Jamaica, Vt. invites you to
celebrate the Feast of the Divine Mercy. Gathering time for the Holy Rosary is 1:30 and 2 p.m. Chaplet of the Divine Mercy is at 3. Saint Paul’s Episcopal Wells

All are invited and welcome to join us for our Easter services, beginning on Maundy Thursday, April 17 with Holy Eucharist at 7 p.m. On Good Friday, April 18, we will celebrate Liturgy and Holy Communion at 7 p.m., and at 9 a.m. on Easter Sunday, April 20, a joyous Eucharist will be followed by an Easter egg hunt on the Church grounds. First Congregational Manchester

Easter is Sunday, April 20, and the teachers at the First Congregational Church of Manchester, Vt. are preparing for an eventful Easter morning. The classrooms have been transformed to resemble Jerusalem in the time of Jesus. As children arrive, they will enter through the city gates at 10 a.m. and discover the powerful events leading up to Easter morning with short stories and crafts along the way. Everyone is invited and encouraged to join in the celebration. Children will be brought upstairs to the sanctuary for the beginning of Easter Sunday worship service at 10:30, and will return to Jerusalem after a special children’s message from Reverend Gordon McClellan. Children and parents will reunite in the vestry after the service, where FCC’s Easter Egg Hunt will begin; make sure to bring your own Easter basket!


South Wallingford Congregational

The South Wallingford Congregational Church will hold a 6:30 a.m. sunrise service on Easter Sunday, April 20, at the Pastor’s home, 24 Shedd Place in Wallingford. Regular service will also be held at 10 a.m. in the Church.


Saint Luke’s Episcopal, Chester

Saint Luke’s Episcopal Church, located at 313 Main Street in Chester, Vt. will be holding several ceremonies in preparation for and in celebration of Easter. On Thursday, April 17, Holy Eucharist will be held at 6:30 p.m., with a Night Watch until midnight starting at 7:30 p.m. On Good Friday, April 18, we will hold Stations of the Cross at 12 noon and the Liturgy of Good Friday at 6:30 p.m. On Saturday, April 19, the Liturgy of Holly takes place at 9 a.m. The Festival Eucharist of Easter Day, Sunday, April 20, will be held at 10 a.m.,with an egg hunt and reception to follow. First Baptist Manchester

Maundy Thursday is April 17, and all are invited to a potluck supper, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. Bring something to share if you wish. This will be followed by a worship service commemorating the Last Supper at 7 p.m. Good Friday Service on April 18 begins at 3:30 p.m., with time for meditation and special music. The Interfaith Council is sponsoring an Easter Sunrise Service at 6:30 a.m., taking place at the Dormy Grill at the top of Union Street, Manchester, Vt. to be followed by coffee, cocoa and doughnuts at First Congregational Church. Reverend Jordan Dickinson will deliver the message and Jeff Linebeck will provide special music. The First Baptist Church Easter Service begins at 10:30 a.m., with the decorating of the Easter Cross, which is placed on the church steps for the community to enjoy following the service. Zion Episcopal Manchester

Zion Episcopal Church invites the community to Holy Week and Easter services and events. Morning Prayer will be said each weekday morning at 9 a.m. On Maundy Thursday, April 17, a lamb supper at 5:30 p.m. will be followed by Holy Eucharist, at 7 p.m., with foot washing and the stripping of the altar. The Good Friday Liturgy begins at 12 noon and lasts about one hour. Easter Services begin with a Sunrise Service on Mount Equinox, weather permitting. The gates open at 5:30 a.m. for the 6 a.m. service. Easter services continue at Zion at 8 and 10 a.m., with an Easter Egg Hunt following the 10 a.m. service. Second Congregational Londonderry

We will hold a Maundy Thursday service, at 6 p.m. on April 17, with the First Baptist Church at the Town Hall, South Londonderry. A Good Friday service will be held at the Second Congregational Church on April 18 at 7 p.m. Easter Sunday Sunrise Service takes place at 6 a.m. at 1005 Landgrove Road, followed by a breakfast; Easter Worship at the Church will be held at 9:30 a.m., followed by the Second Annual Easter Egg Hunt in the Sanctuary.Call 802-824-6453 to find out more.
