The Long Trail School’s Actors Anonymous group participated at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this August.

On Saturday, August 2, at 7 p.m., local audiences can see an Edinburgh Fringe Festival play when the Long Trail School Actors Anonymous troupe will perform ‘Property Rites’ by Alan Haehnel, under the direction of drama director Tracey Wesley. The play will be followed by a bon voyage ‘Ceilidh’ at 8 p.m., featuring Scottish dancing and music, plus food and beverages. Call 802-867-5717 or contact Anne D’Olivo at [email protected] for details. The group was one of only 40 schools nationwide invited to perform at the Fringe as part of the American High School Theatre Festival. Twelve LTS students will travel to Edinburgh and London in August for two weeks of performances, workshops and theatre-going. LTS students also participated in the Festival in 2005 and 2008. LTS Actors Anonymous represented Vermont in April at the New England Drama Festival – the first time in the school’s history – and now the smaller group of 12 will represent the US in Edinburgh at the world’s largest and most prestigious arts festival, featuring 2,000 performances in music, theatre, dance and comedy.
