On Friday, March 21, Maple Street School will host the fifth annual Southern Vermont Educators Symposium (SVES). All elementary and secondary schools, private and public, as well as pre-schools in southern Vermont, are invited to attend or to present at the daylong symposium.
The keynote speaker, Elizabeth Wood, of Shenendehowa, N.Y., school district, will share how her district, which consists of eight elementary schools, three middle schools, and one high school, has successfully implemented the integration of student’s own mobile devices into the curriculum. Woods will facilitate the implementation of the tools, strategies and techniques introduced throughout the day. The event includes continental breakfast, lunch, keynote address, and two breakout sessions at a cost of $75.
