Family Reunion in its 35th Year

The 35th annual Teer family reunion was held at the Emerald Lake pavilion in East Dorset on August 3. In 1984, the family matriarch, Marion (Stone) Teer asked that her family gather at least once a year for sharing news of the family. She thought a summer gathering would be better to avoid the snow, and that they should not wait until there was a death in the family to make good memories for everyone. The children of Marion and Albert Teer have been able to maintain this tradition for 35 years! This year brought 27 family members and friends from Fair Haven, Rutland, North Clarendon, Danby, South Wallingford, Bennington and Middletown Springs in Vermont, as well as White Creek, N.Y., with ages ranging from 81 to 7. Talk is already underway regarding the 36th reunion next year.
