Fly Fishing Festival

The American Museum of Fly Fishing is holding its seventh annual Fly Fishing Festival. The only event of its kind in the region, it takes place on Saturday, August 9, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Antique dealers, artists, artisans, collectors – presenting their wares, and everything from reels to rods – will be assembled on the Museum grounds, located at 4070 Main Street, Route 7A,  in Manchester, Vt., to celebrate all things angling. Fly Fishing Festival highlights include an appearance by Ron Lasko, author of

‘A Tale of Two Rivers; a casting competition; fly-tying workshops; appraisals; a workshop on creating clown flies; children’s game of catch and release; and a concession stand. Attendees are also invited to enjoy the Museum’s current exhibition, ‘The Wonders of Fly Fishing.’ Admission to the Museum and Festival is free.
