From the Colburn House to the Northshire Bookstore
Manchester Community Library, Manchester Historical Society and Northshire Bookstore are collaborating to present ‘4869 Main Street: From Colburn House to Northshire Bookstore,’ on Wednesday, August 7, at 7 p.m. The venue for this talk will be Northshire Bookstore. The structure at 4869 Main Street has a long history as a mainstay of Manchester; for more than a century it was home to the Colburn House, one of the area’s longest continuously operating inns. Northshire Bookstore was born in 1976, and it continues to run as a favorite family-owned bookshop. Shawn Harrington, curator of the Manchester Historical Society, along with the Morrow family, owners of Northshire Bookstore, will present a look at this marvelous building. This free program is part of the Library’s Summer Wednesdays Series. For details, call 802-362-2607.
