Giving Back: How You Can Help the Vermont Veterans’ Home

Many residents of the Vermont Veterans’ Home have limited resources and a limited network of outside support. For some residents, VVH is their only ‘family.’ You can assist them through charitable donations and volunteer work.

Donations may be used to buy clothing or a piece of furniture for a resident, or for enrichment activities like concerts or bingo prizes. Contributors may choose where they want their tax-deductible donations to go. Checks may be sent to the Vermont Veterans’ Home, at 325 North Street in Bennington, Vt., 05201.

Members of service organizations and individual volunteers are always welcome and needed. Volunteer activities include visiting with the residents, sharing your talents and interests with resident groups, assisting residents in letter writing and more.

If you would like information about volunteering, contact Michele Burgess, Activity Therapist, at 802-447-6520 or [email protected]
