Grafton Food & Spirits Festival
The Grafton Inn is fixing up a mouth-watering day dedicated to foodies throughout Vermont and New England. The seventh annual event is set to take place on Saturday, July 13. Festivities are from 12 to 5 p.m., and will include vendors of Vermont-produced foods, craft beers and spirits and live music. From kitchen staples to sweet treats, attendees can look forward to an array of jams, syrup, honey, salsas, hot sauces, cheese, local meats, artisanal chocolates and caramels, complemented by some of Vermont’s tastiest beers, whiskeys, wines and vodkas, right in quintessential Grafton Village. Another new draw this year is the addition of a beer garden, where four Vermont craft beers will be served along with cans of cider. For a bite to pair with a pour, attendees can dig into their pick of local lunch fare. Entertainment will include lawn games and two live music acts. Ida Mae Specker and Will Seeders Mosheim take the stage from 12 to 2 p.m., followed by the Easy Street Duo from 2:30 to 4:30. There will also be sought-after raffle prizes given away during the event. Tickets for the festival cost $10. Children under the age of 12 are free.
The festival will be followed at 6:30 p.m. by a four-course, reservation-only dinner outside on handcrafted farmhouse tables, weather permitting, featuring a special menu created by Mariano Gonzalez, head cheesemaker at Grafton Village Cheese Company, and the Grafton Inn’s chef Cal Hingston. Each course will be paired with a different wine. Tickets for the dinner are sold separately at $75 per person, plus tax and gratuity. To reserve a seat at the dinner, call 802-843-2248.
