The Weston Community Association will present a free concert by Gypsy Reel, the band that keeps your toes tapping with a great mixture of Celtic tunes, favorite folk-rock songs and music from around the world. The group will be playing on the Weston Green, in the center of the village on Route 100 in Weston, Vt. on Labor Day, Monday, September 1, from 4 to 6 p.m. All ages love the music of this group, so bring the family, bring a picnic and enjoy some great music on what is often considered the last day of summer. In the event of rain, the concert will be held in Weston’s Old Parish Church.

Gypsy Reel plays high energy music rooted in the Celtic tradition but garnered from around the globe. Their music is an exciting synthesis of world rhythms and influences from three continents. The line-up includes banjoist Claudine Langille, formerly of Touchstone, the sensational Irish/American fusion band that has won critical acclaim on both sides of the Atlantic; Graham Parker, fiddler extraordinaire; Mark Harding on the upright base; and Camille Parker, who has captivated audiences everywhere with her singing in Spanish and English.
