Ham Dinner to Benefit Fire Victims

The Poultney United Methodist Church will host a Benefit Ham Dinner on Saturday, February 8, from 5 to 7 p.m., in the church fellowship hall, a handicap accessible site. The ham will be either McKenzie and/or Harrington. The meal will be served buffet style, first come, first served. Reservations are not required. Poultney United Methodist Church is located at 108 Main Street in Poultney, Vt. All are welcome.

The dinner is by free will donation. The funds are designated for three Rutland County families who lost their homes to fire this winter: the James family of Pawlet, the Chandler/Savage family of Castleton and the Cole/Wardwell family of Chittenden. All contributions will be graciously received at the door and/or by mail (Poultney UMC, P.O. Box 203, Poultney, Vt., 05764-0203) and dedicated to relief for these families. Volunteers who would like to help set-up, serve, or clean-up will be gratefully appreciated. For information about the dinner, call Pastor David Adams at 802-287-4406 or Linda Leach at 802-287-9087.
