Harold Keller: Paintings & Drawings
The paintings and drawings by Harold Keller on exhibit from August 3 to September 1 at McCartee’s Barn at 23 East Broadway in Salem, N.Y., date from the 1950s to 2007; from early quirky work, to a massive series of drawings devoted to Saint Michael Archangel fighting the dragon atop power poles in southern Washington County. Although not a full retrospective, the exhibition gives a good idea of the range of an artist whose work is not as well-known as it should be, but which is much admired by those who do know it. McCartee’s Barn is open Wednesday to Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Call 518-854-3857 to learn more.
