Hoosick Armory, Youth Center and Community Coalition (HAYC3) announces our first-ever Friendsgiving, a free dinner on Thanksgiving Day, open to the community. Nobody should have to celebrate Thanksgiving alone, so we are throwing a community Thanksgiving dinner that all are welcome to attend. The dinner is completely free, so if you don’t feel like cooking this year, just come eat with us. Had a rough year and money is tight? Join us and our Hoosick neighbors to give thanks for all we have. If you would like to join us, RSVP at 518-686-9050 or hayc3.org by Thursday, November 20, so we know how much food to purchase.
Perhaps you just want to come see the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on our big screen – feel free to come for that if you’d like. No need to RSVP. We could also use some help with the dinner, both the day of and prior to Thanksgiving Day. If you have plans or will be out of town, please volunteer for the pie making, happening on Monday and Tuesday, November 24 and 25, at 6 p.m. in the Hoosick Kitchen in the basement of the Armory. We are also accepting donations to help offset costs; if you can contribute we will be very grateful.
