Janine Thomas on Exhibit in Dorset
The Dorset Village Library will present artist Janine Thomas at a public reception on Saturday, December 7. The free reception will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. All works will be for sale, with proceeds benefitting the library.
Janine Thomas’ work represents the people, places, and animals inhabiting New York’s rural Washington County and the Adirondack foothills. Her realistic images show the unique qualities of chickens, sheep, horses, cows, farm families and 4H kids. Her chickens have become her agrarian trademark. More recently, Saratoga racehorses and their jockeys are featured prominently in her paintings. Thomas is a member and past president of the Guild of Adirondack Artists.
